The fox

The fox
A blurry fox at Fushimi Inari-taisha. Most of the foxes wore bibs, but I did not find out the significance.

Red is the colour of Protection in both Buddhist and Shinto Mythology, Inari is a good Protective God unlike the Nine tailed Fox. Buddha figures often have a red cloth and so to lumps of rock in some Temple grounds.
