I feel the same. The impression of living in a planet that is no longer mine. When I was born 65 years ago my place was still very "medieval" comparing to the rest of Europe. Poor but free children we were.
The political regime was dictatorship. We had a non-violent revolution in 1974 that brought us democracy, or should I say a democratic regime.
Since then I have seen all liberties shrinking, our traditional culture being destroyed or showed as folklore, like apes in a zoo.
The bloody virus took away the little happiness we still had like hug and kiss the loved ones instead of seing them dying from the virus or because they had no proper medical treatment during the lockdown. And most survivors are struggling to survive because they loss their jobs, their business, their entreprises...

Your life story is very impressive, Isabel. And you describe very well how closely it is connected with the history of your country. You could call that "halftime" - the second half would be your future.
But Chrissy only has the first half of 2020 in mind - which is of course also full of the most violent upheavals - half time, that's it...

What I meant is that this half of 2020 is the worse thing...
My future? In front of me... if I look back ! At least 3/4 or more of it are done. And I did not intend to spend what I have left in such conditions. It is frightening. I prefer to get lost in nature...

Beautiful sky and golden field. The beginning of the year seems a lifetime away. I look at photos taken in the past and think "Why aren't they social distancing ?" When we began 366 we didn't know it was going to be like this but I think we should give ourselves a pat on the back for keeping going. And it is a good time to have a record of. To remind us of what it was like.
