I hope that you ended up getting to sleep and had a nice rest...heh, didn't even know about a comet going by...and there will always be more chances in the future! :)

There are a few more chances - but not many to see the comet. It's called Comet NEOWISE and while around for a few more days, it won't be back for another 6,000 years after this!

I like this B&W. Your cat knows how to find a good place to be comfortable and watch the world go by. I too have become a more extreme night owl than usual, have given up going for walks and have moved no further than the garden today.

Ha! I'm so glad the plant isn't the spider I thought it was in the small version of the photo before I saw it normal!! A perfect place for your kitty and nice balance of the light between inside and out.

I tried to see the comet this evening, but I'm pretty sure it was hiding behind the trees across the way. I will try again tomorrow - only a few more days to get a view! My friend in Holland saw it today!!

Chrissy, Thank you for the smile. Cats/kittens always seem to like to squish themselves into tight spaces like baskets, & boxes looking completely at ease without a care in the world. Marvelous photograph, the lighting, composition along with your feline friend do play well with each other!
