Tal-y-llyn Lake, North Wales
Or Llyn Mwyngil as it is called in Welsh. A shallow 10ft deep ‘glacial ribbon’ lake known for its fishing and photographic views. It is around 1 mile long and has an area of approx. 220 acres. I believe views from the other end on a calm day give wonderful reflections of the surrounding peaks.
I am here on its southern corner looking up to to Mynydd Dol-ffanog (you get a get a prize for pronouncing that right :) with the winding A487 climbing the steep valley. A much smaller road runs by the right side of the lake here to meet the big road eventually but I believe one can also walk the length of the lake on the left-hand side.
Enjoy full screen
