That is beautiful Amelia, - so neat and orderly and really easy on the eye. It looks a good place to visit as long as you get there early!! Lovely views from here and I really like the shadow benches and the displays along that elegant balcony. Well captured

I like to be ahead of the crowds too. It seems to be an especially good season for roses this year, were there many roses there?

I'll post a couple of pics for you, Maggs. Our rose have been looking good in the garden, but the excessive heat is causing them to go over quickly. They are mostly highly scented old roses which don't like the rain so I ma dreading a thunderstorm, even though we need the rain.

Yes, mine are starting to drop petals very rapidly now - good for pot pourri I suppose
