Homage to the Sweet pea

Homage to the Sweet pea
A rather different take of one of our garden sweet pea flowers. Described as a flowering plant, this bit had invaded the inside of my greenhouse whereas the main parent plant sits outside. It climbs to about two metres if allowed on anything it can get its little feelers around. It has been flowering in the same spot now for about four years.
A black background card accounts for the dark background.

Essential full screen

Cheers Gordon. Another taken with my heavyweight 110mm but the results can't be faulted. Still feeling the effects of my late Covid bout and so the greenhouse visit was as much as I could muster on that day.

Enjoy this Sunday. Herb

Yes, it is quite content and its brother tendrils and flowers have almost covered one side of the inside of my otherwise empty greenhouse.

Keep good on this Sunday. Herb

The hint of pink/purple on the tips of the petals are beautiful Herb. In fact the picture is beautiful, especially against the black. We didn't have any sweet peas this year and I really missed the great aroma they give out.

Sunday greetings,
Rosa.

Like you, I do enjoy seeing these Sweet Pea's each year. They are growing outside the greenhouse (up against it) quite wild now having originally escaped from a plant I had temporarily in the greenhouse some year back. I do take cuttings and have them scattered in the house. Unfortunately this particular plant has little smell and only these pink/purple flowers but it is still nice. I once had one that was multi coloured. For some years we had no Sweet Peas and I missed them. Anyway, just an artistic reminder of this years crop here and I am glad you enjoyed it.

This is just lovely Herb. The lighting is lovely, especially on the petals and the black background works perfectly! Good to see you getting some macro work done!

I hope you're feeling better since taking this one - and that you fully recover soon.

Thanks Keith. I am coming around albeit much slower than I would like. I must admit that I was inspired by a couple of your pictures to take this like this and so I am delighted that you like it so.

Best Wishes. Herb
