The final reach
As this very old tree bids a farewell wave to the heavens we cannot but ponder what kind of life it has had and what it may have seen here. Taken not far from the waters edge at Clachtoll it certainly makes for a spectacular study.

I love that skeletal tree Herb..........it makes a beautiful shape against the dramatic sky. The image works perfectly in black and white.

I expect it will still still be standing there for many years to come!

Hi again Keith, Yes, I liked this tree in the original colour too but the mono really brings the tree and sky out as you observe here, Most happy that you approve and perhaps it has many years to point here yet.

I agree Jose. It is good to see trees live their natural lives. All around me, people are cutting down beautiful trees in their gardens to let in more light. Such is todays life.
