A Rhodes fence

A Rhodes fence
Autumn 2019 and we are walking the old town of Rhodes. Every turning reveals another glimpse of history and interest. Here at the edge of the harbour is a closed small room, built into the wall. Do the step outlines show an old stairway or some kind of geometric pattern? A fence stops us from exploring further but it only raises more questions.

If you got of a ship, you certainly would have as it was by the old port entrance. Yes, some trips don't end like you would like them too. I have had a few of those too.

That might do it David, and he would say "certainly my dear Watson - this stands at the corner of the old port and was almost certainly used as a holding gaol - one can deduce that by the bars and dimensions.." ~:) ... Then again .... maybe not!
