Langkawi -paradise Island

Langkawi -paradise Island
Anther Island here in the Andaman Sea some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. Just a whistle-stop here for us but with beach scenes like this, altogether too little time sent here for us.

This is actually near Star Cruises jetty on the southwest corner of the island beside Awana Poroto Malai Resort.

Thanks for this visit Joe. I had some of these on my old Panoramio site, but not this one. So, I thought it time that I shared some of the other places that I have visited. We had a day here and I must admit that it was rather exciting. This whole area was devastated by floods a short time before our visit.

Beautifully framed under the trees. The light is lovely and I love the dappled shadows on the sand. The colour of the sea is sublime and I like the little islands and the misty peaks in the background. Great job Herb!

Hi Keith. As always it is a pleasure to read your considered views on my photographs and places that I have visited. Many time I wonder what I would post, could I not visit anywhere interesting. Ah well, best nit to dwell on that. This was certainly a little spot of paradise for us. Glad you see the same in that my friend. ~ Herb
