This is just fantastic Herb. I love the curve of the plough lines and the detail in the treeline. Beautifully composed and taken.

The HDR is very subtle (in fact, I wouldn't have known), which is just as it should be.

Thanks for another viewing here Keith. In practice, HDR was hardly merited as the contrast levels were never so great but it did lift up the shadows somewhat. The technique just gives me another option to present the scene at its best. I liked the curve and light on that top edge too.

Hi George. Decided to free this up on here as a result of your comment to the wide-angled shot. In a way, I liked this better of the two too but thought the other might have a wider appeal. Anyway both here now. Of course I am very pleased that you like this so much. I actually took about a dozen and on camera my vertical one looked the best but it never looked as good on full screen. Ah well.

Some thing magical when you see this almost does not look real. that is rich soil to our sand.

As you say Steve -something special. I am always pleasantly surprised when man makes such beautiful scenes like this. Not to compare with your heavens but something to compensate for me not getting the full glory of them like you do, perhaps. Yes, good rich soil here -perfect for potatoes I think. Lots of harmful to-the-world fertilizers no doubt too.
