Spotlight on an Autumn tree

Spotlight on an Autumn tree
People who have followed my work for some time, especially on other sites will know that I am a lover of the 'Lone Tree' photo. Here is one of my trees from 2014

Taken in the 'Chew Valley' not far from my beloved Dovestones Dam, Oldham. The morning sun just peeping above the enclosed deep valley starts to light up this tree without as yet lighting up the background scree. (The two boughs from the same trunk almost makes it look more like two trees!)

Enjoy full screen on black!

Beautiful light and lovely earthy colours Herb..................a corker of a shot.

The image in the PiP is pretty awesome too...........especially the light on the tree and the lush green of the field.

Hi Herb

Full credit from me for thinking this out so well.. (as you always do!!). To be waiting for it, and to capture such a superb 'lonesome tree' is excellent!! I ;like it a lot!

Cheers Keith -great that you liked the colours with the light here. The PiP, posted here years back is of-course the same tree almost at the same time but a different spot and p.o.v. I walked past it again the other day but no sign of this kind of lighting. ~ Herb

You are so kind Peter. I did know about this tree and after walking past and near it many times often wondered if one day I would get the light. I knew exactly where I would take the photos from and on this day it happened. Not seen the same since. Glad you liked it. Of course, I have always been a lover of the lone tree but have not taken as many lately.

Cheers, Herb
