Hi Nick, this posting was inspired by your comment to my photo just down the track from here. To be honest, I was a little surprised at finding this here as I had no idea that it would be. My research looks like this would be a great place to visit. You certainly have some wonderful spots nearby my friend. Anyway, glad you liked my version.

Hi Daniela, you are missing a lot not going to sea but there are other things in life. I know that you do travel. This was taken on our way back home from France and once again demonstrates some of our unspoken beauties we have over here. Glad you enjoyed it.

Early morning light makes the castle look like in a fairytale. You were rewarded for getting up early!

I think you will be right Gudrun. We did see this same castle on our way to France in the evening but it did not have the same charming light. Thank You.

You must be right, not a lot of Herb here, but yesterday I found back an old friend which I hadn't seen for ... 10 years in Flickr !!! We had met then on an other site, but can't remember which one. His name is Herb Master, but when I saw "Herb" this morning in the people connected, I really thought that it was him too ! (:o)) Look below towards the end... and my reply to him too.

I think I told you before (assuming it was you posting other Portchester shots here or on Pano), that I visited here with a university field trip and I reckon it was the coldest few hours I've ever spent int he UK, and that includes winter climbing in Scotland and Wales! (I think it must have been Feb 77).
