Main Bow Lancelin Sand Dunes- Do look large.

Main Bow Lancelin Sand Dunes- Do look large.
Carl and David were still setting up and my first Bow was painted red from the Red head lights they used. I took my gear and walked over and behind the ridge so they were blocked from view. Left side is the Hamlet of Lancelin and the orange light as the Major intersection . You can see in the center the headlights of a car in the dunes closer to the sea, and the Lights Of Cervantites and the orange light at the turn off.

Enjoy some of our black nights. you can see the area has so many car tyre marks you can't get away from them.

Last Bow 2:30am :Do look large on black you get some idea of the landscape.

Thanks some thing that we are lucky to see and able to get well above the rest of the world. I in part post the photos for myself and others who are interested I know a lot of what I do is so far beyond most others. The night was just unbelievable to be in such a place out in the quiet in the dark only the lights of the Hamlet and the Milky way. This in part show you what the early part of the night looked like before it darker and darker. Glad you like the shot.

A great Milky Way bow and panorama. Good to see the Magellanic Clouds there too. This must run about 180 degrees wide!

It does run over 180 degrees I did not do a full 360 this night as it was all Sand but this was the widest. I try and always include the two Magellanic clouds as to me they are as much a part of the Milky Way. my last they were coverd by the tall dunes.
