Dry Dock for this Museum Piece

I didn't get to the Maritime Museum, but saw this from a distance while on the Rottnest boat, Steve. HFF and have a great weekend.

This has always been part I have never visited but knew was there, you would certainly see the Sub from the ferry. HFF hope you stay in Perth was a good one.

Went inside a sub many years ago, but the sub was on dock. I am claustrophobic, I couldn’t serve on subs…

Never been in one only been on the replica of the Endeavor that as built in WA I was TOO tall, HFF thank looking forward to getting out of the city. YOU get better for us all.

It looks impressive but creepy even from the outside! I have been inside a (WWII) sub only once as a child and I'm not keen on repeating the experience. You must be good with enclosed spaces if you want to go;-)

I agree with others, must be a very claustrophobic life. Fascinating to see it in dry dock

This dry dock is home this is never going back in the water so its in the exhibit but not open to the public to go inside.

A great wide capture here Steve. Looks like a bit of rust about. A pity that you are too tall to explore in one of these like I did at Chapham in the HMS Ocelot, an Oberon-class diesel-electric submarine which was operated by the Royal Navy. Quite a different beast to this, being launched in 1962. Not good if you are claustrophobic for sure but most interesting. I have some pictures somewhere. Well done.
