Quiet spot @40c

A beautiful photo, despite the temperatures, Steve. I think it was a new Perth record of six consecutive days of 40+ . HFF and have a great weekend.

I ended up as emergency pick of great grandson second day at school in the car said outside was 42c today 2:40pm. Hot. HFF hope you are spared this heat.

Has been hellish thats for sure even had to change the astro camera from -10 to -7 because of the over night heat as well. HFF you enjoy your cool while we can only dream.

this is a natural wet land usually always has water but long hot summers can dry these out no water going in but sun pulling out so much water. a natural cooling part of the landscape, HFF enjoy the cool while we swelter.

Herb read my comment to Loose grip this was the way we could judge did we have a wet winter or was the summer so hot and long, how much water after the end of summer. more than a few spots totally dry out and grass grows in the damp muddy bottom of the dry lake, time will tell but a very very hot start already.

the place is part onf a very long chain of natural swamps and water pool in the area most less than 2' deep and even dry out in very long hot summers, HFF all the best for your weekend.
