Drosera menziesii

Drosera menziesii
Another of the Sundews living happily in the city. Note all the folded ones have insects trapped in them. the only special treatment this group get is end of rains for the year they get taken off the bonsai stand away from water. the plants gets dried out and turn orange only to become green once the winter rains start again. this is all of 80mm high above the small plants its came with.

Isabel the second photo show you how this plant lives out in the wild just like you see here 100% on the granite rock and next to no soil. This was scooped off the bedrock and placed on this granite plate and treated just the same as it would get out in the wild. It has been with me for 3 years and thriving on total neglect.

always a great sight each year when the rains turn it green almost within a day. Many thanks.
