Last Light

Last Light
Cloud free forecast total cloud cover so I left my astro lens at home to save weight , so I had to use the 16-35mm F4 for a second time I am happy to say passed with flying colours. This shows you what happens if you dont allow enough time after sunset for the last rays of sunshine to leave the atmosphere while I walked here know what time was astro night, nature shows us we dont always know every thing . the very next bow I took all the sunlight is gone from the shot and was a normal night shot but I posted this one as its both different and a lesson. I could not see the light but the camera could...

Enjoy some thing I was not expecting.

You could do just the same but you are right it may be just a bit above the camera you have but me I still would give it a go you never say never. Glad you like the shot I was surprised to see the light knowing I walked here with that time frame in mind but shows you just what the camera see and we cant.

I love your picture so much! It`s fantstic and great, the cameras can see so much more than our eyes. So we can see it all later, too! Thank you for show this great view!

makes for a great background on the computer. it was a shock when I saw it on the back of the camera as I could not see it at all but I did not stop I kept going on all the 10 shots. Glad you like it I enjoyed the night as well.

that is so true the shot in the Astro night does not have them at all but I have to say the mix of the two in the shot is what makes it very different. If you llok the night is coing from the right into the shot. Many thanks.

It's still an impressive image. So late in the season it's a toss up between everything setting and catching the light - with that choice, this wins. :-)

You are so right and to get this with no clouds was even more of a bonus. you can see why I just walked out of the motel room with more than a few hopes with me. you are right this wins..

Another beauty my friend. Beautiful night lighting framed by almost a ruby/diamond foreground. Your command over such scenes is again, admirable. ☼

Cheers, Herb

was bit of a shock to see the light still in the sky as I walked here with that night time in mind found on the net. another plus for LLL and the tripod on this one certainly was no easy shot to set up and take in the middle of the rocks.many thanks glad that like the shot .
