You had to have been standing in the same spot as I was , a better photo than mine .I appear to be missing from the ledge. I seem to remember the heat on the day as well.
Memories . Regards Peter

Peter If i had never been to both this trip I would have not know but I had the photos to prove it. Was not hot but my first time I came here by motorbike with my new wife MAN it was hot no water any there and it was on the old sand road It "said gravel" so I went slow but it turned pure sand as you know. Finally a sealed road and my first chance to go to the Z bend and natures window on the same day and watch other who dont understand Australia at all. not quite second china this china kills.

Steve, Was not as adventurous as that on a motor bike . I had an early short wheelbase landcrui ser back then and towed a caravan which we lived in for 2 1/2 years on a working holiday. Can't remember the track in but I don't remember any sealed road at all in '69. It was certainly hot but it didn't seem to worry us. Love to see more photos of this area if you have any.

Peter I have added just for you three shots from the 70's From slide that show a little more of Kalbarri. I did not put up other photos from this trip as not many interested in it. There is just no doubt that digital is way better than film ever was
