She's a beauty! The nest looks like one in a maple tree by my car that seems abandoned. Helter -skelter architecture, precariously balanced... I'm certain it isn't a heron's nest, no woods or water nearby.

This is my favorite of these swamp birds. None of the birds in this swamp builds a decent nest, so a significant fraction of chicks fall into the mouths of alligators.
