Solidarität - Solidarity

Im Juni 2020 nahm ich in Berlin dieses Bild auf. Mir sprang der Titel des Plakats ins Auge: "Solidarität muss grenzenlos sein. Lager evakuieren." Wie aktuell dieser Apell war, zeigt sich in diesen Tagen, wo nach dem schrecklichen Brand im Flüchtlingslager Moria auf Lesbos (Griechenland) die Europäische Union mit ihren Mitgliedstaaten nicht in der Lage ist, die erbärmliche Situation der Flüchtlinge zu beenden und die Flüchtlinge mit einer großzügigen Aktion in die Mitgliedstaaten der EU aufzunehmen. Wollen wir alle hoffen, dass die europäischen Staaten Verantwortung übernehmen und ganz bald handeln!!!

In June 2020 I took this picture in Berlin. The title of the poster caught my eye: "Solidarity must be boundless. Evacuate camps." Just how topical this appeal was can be seen in these days when, after the terrible fire in the refugee camp Moria on Lesbos (Greece), the European Union with its member states is not able to end the pitiful situation of the refugees and to accept the refugees with a generous action into the member states of the EU. Let us all hope that the European states will take responsibility and act very soon!
