Forte di Exilles
Eine der gewaltigsten Festungen des Alpen steht auf einem Felssporn im Sustatal. Man geht davon aus, dass eine Wehranlage schon zu Römerzeiten hier gestanden hat. In seiner wechselvollen Geschichte wurde die Festung mehrere Male umgebaut. Ihren heutigen Zustand erhielt sie 1818-29.

Die Mauer kam mir bekannt vor, aber das war in Briancon, auf der anderen Seite der Grenze, in Frankreich. Die Festungsanlagen sind im gleichen Baustil und wohl etwa zur selben Zeit errichtet.
