These beach-huts are privately owned, Gudrun, and the owner of the brown one needs to maintain the colourful facade I think. I much prefer these than the other council owned ones.

You're dead right. For a shed they ask for silly prices, although not as much as prices in some seaside towns. ;-)

Privately owned or not, there's obviously a strict set of rules in place regarding size, shape etc.

But I agree, much better than the council-owned ones.
