weather,voting and a job done

Yhe weather of late has been the normal mix of gales,rail and hail.Today we have only got rain which is something to be thankful for I guess.
The country is in a big a mess wiyh all the parties bickering and promising us a better deal,no change there then, Today is voting day and on a day I would be normally cabined up I made my way to the poling station at a local school,
I was there early as normal and today there was a lot more filk there than I normally see.There must have been a couple of dozen and this only 10 minutes after opening,looks like a big turn out.
From there I walked round to the church to pick up a control that works some lights etc of a nativity scene. I returned home very wet but with my duty done at the poles and a lttle job to do.Perfect weather for a lttle diversion.
I managed to get some life out of the control and with a little soldering it's working fine again,
I am not a church goer but many of my friends are so nominate me for any small tasks.I don't mind as I enjoy tinkering,

Oh so a lot of people turned out - that's good (I suppose) - I suppose we'll soon learn who is in the lead, but it's scary anyway because I dread some people getting their feet over the door to No.10!! Glad to hear you managed to fix that control for the priest!!

It wasn't too busy here when we went out to vote at 8.15am, though the woman on the desk did comment on the steady stream of young voters who had to be told how to vote. From the results, it looks like a good turnout despite the weather and time of year.

Good civic duty there people. Who is it on the ballot now? I swear you have pm elections as often as I change my hairstyle! Thank goodness ours are every 2- 4 years depending on the office. . As is they start campaigning for the next election practically from the day they're elected!
