The sun shone on my little island home this morning. I cleaned and refilled the bird feeders while the starlings and sparrows lined the wall waiting for breakfast.
I sat on the step with a coffee and watched the morning bun fight that the starlings perform, they are very funny.

I shivered, the weather is not warm enough for sitting on cold steps watching the birds so I left them to it and had my own breakfast.
I decided on a walk over the bridge and when I got to the end of my street I met my son Stephen who had the same idea. We walked over together catching up on the news before we parted company. He was heading to Aldi for his fruit and veg,me to the other side of town for pipe fodder and a wander round B&M and Cool-trader bargain hunting.

I treated myself to a box of Mr Kiplings Bakewell slices as well as run of the mill stuff from B&M before heading to Cooltrader.
Here again run of the mill stuff. Young's battered fish cakes were B.O.G.O.F. so I got two of those (they make great butties) and a small Turkey crown which looked good value at £3 plus other unexciting stuff

I was early for the bus so I sat in the sun people watching for a while. Sunday morning people are always much happier than the ones I meet in the week with their hurry scurry shopping trips. Sunday is a day of slow pace and taking in the sights and sounds. The bus duly arrived and I flashed the pass and was deposited 20 yards from home with two full bags of shopping and only £15 spent. A good morning which set me up nicely for an afternoon of watching the egg chasers on the goggle box. Catch you soon folks have fun.
