A film too close for comfort...

Yes I saw that movie a long time ago. The biggest difference as I recall is the virus was much more deadly than this. We have to keep sight of the fact its by no means a death sentence if someone gets it. Many barely know they have it. And the media can be very irresponsible in their reporting. Truth is also Im sick of it. Its constantly on tv, commercials, the newspapers social media. How can people not become anxious when it's constantly shoved down your throat? No, Last thing I want to do is watch this again

Yes it was rather too close for comfort. I do realise that as long as you are fit - it isn't a death sentence to get it. I just notice when fit doctors die, otherwise fit and well, can make me nervous. Yes I'm sick of it all, yet I do feel bound to watch the news, because it's changing every minute and I want to know what's going on in Turkey

I'm not sure I ever saw it as I don't like 'doom and gloom' movies. I did note on the news that 160 complaints were made to Ofcom as the timing was seen as 'insensitive.'

I'm with Gracie - yes we need to be careful, and not go out too much except for food, meds and so on, but the media are only concentrating on the death figures, and rarely post how many have recovered; these recovery numbers are significant.

Yes we do need to take care of ourselves and not take risks. I don't go out at all and get very irritated when I hear of these people who flout it and have parties.I just don't understand the mind set of people like that.

Yes, Jenny, we recently saw this movie, and as you say, it is scary how accurately the crisis is portrayed, especially given the fact that the movie was made 9 years ago, not yesterday! Very well written and acted, too!
