Am off in just over a week to Turkey.......

In 11 days time I'm off to Turkey to stay with Mandi and Dogan for 3 weeks. I can hardly wait to see her again and to see my son-in-law too. I do love the country and it's so beautiful, especially the area they live in. I saw this video of their area on YouTube and thought you'd like to see it.

Now maybe you can understand why she loves living there. I live in a wonderful place here in the UK, and if we had the weather, I don't think I'd ever want to holiday anywhere, let alone move, but our summers are getting colder and wetter lately and that does depress me somewhat. Still I do get to visit this gorgeous place at least once a year.

Jenny, how lovely! The sunshine and warm weather will be a great treat. It's definitely starting to feel colder now, and damper too, and the days are getting shorter. The sunshine should set you up for the winter to come.

Yes apparently they are experiencing rain today and probably tomorrow, and then it's wall to wall sunshine for at least 2 weeks - they say. So as long as they get their rain out of the way before I go, that's okay. It's strange because I would normally have gone by now for 3 weeks and only changed my days because both neighbours were away until the 30th September. I now go on the 1st October.

You should go when it's the middle of the winter to break up your winter.. Give you a boost so to speak.. Although maybe it's harder & more expensive as more people probably have the same idea. I know you're going to have a great time!

No if I'm paying out major bucks for a holiday I want some time in the sun please. The trip in October is good for a boost and by the time it starts to wane, it's spring - :}

Oh yes it's cold there - nothing as cold as we have here though, but certainly cold enough to need thick jumpers and coats
