Occasionally, I go to a different supermarket from the one I work in. I can't think of a single supermarket that has every single item I want/need. With that in mind, I often keep a jacket in the car so I can disguise my uniform if I've come from work, though this week, it's been far too hot for an extra layer. I was going up the travelator, when I espied a man coming down same, he was eating a pasty, and almost choked when he saw my uniform, and commented loudly that I work for a different supermarket. Yes, I said and then ignored him.

I had gone to said supermarket to collect my meds. This is the closest chemist to the house, and although we have a chemist in my store too, if I'm ever ill and my son has to collect any meds, then him walking 2 miles to my place of work will not thrill him one little bit, so I never changed, nor will I. I then proceeded to buy some wine that we don't stock. At the till, yet another customer pointed out that I work in a different store, no sh*t Sherlock, and stated it wasn't a good advertisement for my store. I politely pointed out that the goods I had were not available in my store. (Why would I forgo our staff discount if they were?) He laughed and stated he was just pulling my leg. I merely smiled, and thought: Get A Life, lmao.

Wednesday, our store was so quiet, and we'd finished picking just after 10am. Good grief! Quiet days like this make me concerned for my job, though there are new starters who would hopefully be first to leave if staff have to be culled. Selfish of me I know... The rest of the week slowly but surely picked up and I had some large orders to pick including one that was for 159 items; biggest order I've seen in ages! The rest of my week passed without incident, no issues, and orders have steadily grown.

Sunday, we had yet more people in the store too early. Not as early as 08.30am, but still before we were officially open. A manager was walking around, so I just kept quiet and picked. If the early birds had approached me for help, I'm not sure how helpful I would have been.

Normally, I'm now off for 2 days, though I now have another day of work, my 6th day in a row. I was asked to swap a shift, couldn't think of a good reason not to, lol, so Monday I'll be working. Thankfully, it's just for 4 hours then I'll have 2 days off. I'm off at the end of July, and I'm counting the weeks :)

Have a good week next week. Hopefully this lovely weather will contine; less than 20C, sunny, and a good breeze - gorgeous!

Oh, I managed to get a new pair of trousers for work. Even managed to get the correct length so I don't have to hem them. Fantastic! Had to go to 4 shops to do it though... lol
