After 2 hours of frustration and the network dropping, I’ve finally got my new computer up and running. Back in 2005, I bought a new computer with my first instalment of my student loan. It was expensive, and a great machine, and the staff in the computer shop installed everything for me. Not so anymore…

My biggest complaint with Windows 10 is that it doesn’t come with Solitaire nor Mahjong preinstalled. Why not? I’ve tried a free version from the app store, but I hate it! Anybody know how to get a decent couple of games onto my new computer?

I went out with my sister today and bought a lovely new cardigan for my interview this week. I also bought my son new towels and some kitchen equipment to take with him to university. I spent a lot of money this week… Back to the budget.

Weather here is still gloomy and windy but at least no rain today which is a relief.

I have a busy week ahead of me including a haircut tomorrow, and photos for my passport renewal.

That’s all for now. It took so long to get this up and running that I’m now quite frazzled and I’m off to have a well-earned glass of wine.

I've had to post this from the old laptop. After 'proving I'm not a robot' by clicking on pictures more than 8 times, I gave up!

I do not think the problem has anyhig to do with Ipernity, it ismre likely to be a Browser problem.

On you old PC whwere you began to have the problem which version of Windows were you using.
I ask because I had many problems with Internet explorer V8 that is not compatible with Google mail.
Today I was informed that the same browser has blocked my Translator program, this was previously blocked for a different reason by Firefox and Google Chrome

I actually only use Firefox.

Iperity first of all. We the IMA will be taking charge at some date between now and August.
Users are beginning to post stuf rather than followthe various threads regardig the site and its future.
The weather our friends talk of is the same old mixture but generally less Welsh.

True, it seems from what I have seen that most computer producers install only Windows Ten in what MS call ther Default Installation, t is then up to the userto download other things from Microsot Downloads where much is free of charge.

Iam stll cabin bound, I have just posted a blog about the current situation.

Still trouble with Ipernity? Hmm. They do have a mobile and Android version. And a Windows one also I believe. . Perhaps you can check that as they do function differently? I have a free solitaire program on my pc. It's pretty good as its got multiple types of solitaire besides the regular. And several different card faces so you can choose which works for you. Ill endeavor to send you the link

That's odd I sent it last night. Perhaps in your spam as it had an attachment? Let me know & If not I will get the link to you another way. That's not the first time I've sent an email and you haven't got it. I know I've triple checked the email that you've given.

Microsoft used to have an exellent Games Package, I purchased it for my Son and Grandchildren, however it was built for Windows XP, I don't know if they ever upgraded it for 7, 8 and 10.

Having toprove you are not a Robot sounds like a Browser problem s I mentioned above.

Do you have Skype? if not I suggest you install it because software packages can be sent via Sype, and perhaps Gracie could send a copy of her game that way.

There is another possible problem, at least with yur old PC and the Laptopu borrowed known as Malware, however it is ot very likely with you new one.

A good program to prevent Malware is Malwarebytes, they have a short term free version but the paid one is best. I had wierd problems not long ago, installed the program and found six nasties that my Antivirus had not found, the problems ended..

Actully John I use Malwarebytes also. It used to be the paid version was better. Ive had both. But not since they recently changed it. Now you're better off keeping the free

The free one only works for a short timenow Gracie, I paid for the Premium version which has since been upgraded to V6-0-7 free of extra cost. The german producers seem to keep changing their minds about what is best for themselves ecconomically. The software is good and does not create problems with my N.I.S.

I've been having problems with technology too! My aerial has been playing up so I bought a new aerial and it refused to work properly, So the old one had to re-instated. After much scrambling around I found the instructions and I have to plug it in a socket as well!!!!! I'll do that later. Had problem with my new printer too!! That's another story though

Thanks everyone.
I was on Windows 7 using Google Chrome and had to prove I'm not a robot about 2 or 3 times each time I posted a blog. Now I'm on Windows 10, using Google Chrome and after 8 different screens to prove I'm not a robot, I gave up.

Is anyone else having to prove they're not a robot? Each time they blog?

Gracie - Sorry, no sign of it. Please could you use iPernity email as we know that works? Yes, we did have issues before.

As I said before, all was fine before, then someone kindly bought me a Guest subscription, and now that it has run out, I've been having issues.

I'll see if iPernity come back with a solution, but if not, I'll hang around a while to comment on blogs, then may switch to a different site. Not being able to blog will be a pain.

Yes, I dumped Chrome because all I had with it was problems.
Try using Firefox as your Default browser.

I use Gametop.com ,it' free Fran guarenteed no nasties come with it and any game you wish in any format
At the moment I am playing Golden Dozen solitaire,It has a election of simple and ifficult games and I have Mahjong on my laptop,lots to choose rom in that
