From the cylinder recorded by Bob Roberts here's "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" (Clark - Muir - Abrahams) from 1912. This proved to be a chart topper and the number two song of the year. The song was inspired by the composer's nephew dressed as a cowboy.
In 1947 vocalist and bandleader Eddy Howard, his trio and his orchestra peaked at number sixteen with "Ragtime Cowboy Joe".
Alvin and the Chipmunks' (Alvin, Simon and Theodore Seville) "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" is from their first album "Let's All Sing With The Chipmunks". Grammy winning and Emmy nominated David Seville (Ross Bagdasarian) created and performed as the act. This reached the top thirty on the R&B charts!
