The Fallen Moon ,sculpture on a three week visit to Bridgwater Docks (See Pip) attracted large crowds, especially on night market days, This view is looking towards the crowds outside the dockside Public House, (Admirals Landing) Large view required for details, HWW! to all! Constructed in 1841 by the Bristol and Exeter Railway Company, Bridgwater Docks served as a major gateway between Somerset and the Bristol Channel For more than a century, the port handled commodities including: Coal, Timber, Brick & tile and Stone, Commercial shipping ended in the 1970s

Back to one of our local harbours for this weeks wall, a low tide capture of the inner harbour which is now a 150 berth Marina at Watchet on Somerset’s, Bristol Channel Coast, The high walls have to cope with the second highest tidal range in the world, often exceeding 12 to 14 metres (approx. 40 to 50 feet) during spring tides. This extreme fluctuation is caused by the funnelling shape of the estuary and resonant amplification of the Atlantic tide, HWW to all!

Another image looking across the marina from the East Quay this time to the colourful market stalls on the Southern quayside at Watchet on the Somerset Coast! The long retired lifeboat in center of the image is possibly an ex RNLI Liverpool class boat from around 1939, although this is not conclusive, any information would be welcome! HWW! Still in Wick and a view across to the marina part of the inner harbour , and a section of the residential area, Again a large view recommended,,,,,,,,,,,, HFF and a great weekend to all!

Four benches but no engine, Reflections of the boat Wick, moored in Wick inner Harbour, Caithness. I believe this craft belongs to the "Wick Coastal Rowing Club" HBM and a good week to all

Lots of Fences around this marina section of the inner harbour at Wick in Caithness, Construction of Wick Harbour began in 1803 and was completed by 1811. It soon became a bustling port and a major player in the Herring fishing industry, In a street just behind the camera lives the Old Pulteney Distillery which is an aging malt whisky production facility in Pulteneytown. The distillery has a visitor centre in Huddart Street, and produces the Old Pulteney Single Malt whisky! worth a visit if you have the time! HFF and a good weekend, large if you are able please!

The Bristol Channel through to entrance gap on a breezy afternoon, but it stays calm in the harbour as shown in another view of Somersets Watchet Harbour, Really would appreciate if you are able to take a large view. HWW!

A location familiar with a few Ipernians, This is a Low Water image of Watchet Harbour, on a clear late Spring or early Summer day ! A fishing village built at the head of an inlet of Loch Fyne called East Loch Tarbert, on a narrow isthmus which connects Kintyre to the south with Knapdale to the north, It is known as the gateway to Kintyre! HFF and a large view for clarity please!

When the tide goes out in the Bristol Channel ! It really does go out, Watchet harbour on the Somerset Coast. HWW to one and all, a large add a little interest

Campbeltown Loch and the RNLI Severn Class Lifeboat, Earnest and Mary Shaw on station in the Harbour, The Severn class at 17.3 meters are the largest boats in the fleet. I would appreciate a large viewing,,,,,,,,,, Wish you all a nice Friday and great weekend !

Campbeltown Loch, Kintyre, The harbour is also home to a fishing fleet has berths for coasters plus a Calmac ferry terminal.

Footprints in the soft mud indicate a recent visitor to Dandelions mooring as she waits for the evening tide to arrive in Watchet Harbour. the floating pontoons will then raise to accommodate the rapid infow of water which can be as much as 6m (20ft) during spring tides, Large would be appreciated
