The town of Bridgwater, was founded in the year 1200 and St Mary Street was mentioned in documents at that time, it contains a line of fourteenth century cottages including the Old Vicarage Restaurant and hotel as an ex coaching stop, which was given in the sixteenth century by Edward de Chedzoy to be used as a vicarage and that was how it remained until around a hundred years ago.
Parts of this building would have been in place during the Battle of Sedgemoor, fought just outside of the town, this was the last battle fought on English soil,
Monmouth Rebellion battle, Somerset, UK, 1685,
The roof tiles of the Pan Tile pattern were made in one of the many Brick and tile yards within the town,
The Old Vicarage is now a thriving and popular business! HWW!

The breakwater forms the backdrop to this scene from above the Harbour at , Ballantrae, Carrick, South Ayrshire,
The storage area contains both active and retired boats, It has an attractive and often deserted beach which consists of shingle and sand and offers views of Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran and Kintyre.
This is an image from 2021 and will I'm afraid need to be viewed large for clarity

An unknown three masted sailing ship lies at anchor in the Bristol Channel as the late afternoon sun adds colour to the foreshore, the small waves, and the distant coast of South Wales. The high tidal range of the channel can be clearly seen in the image.
