The location of this cemetery is truly unusual and surprising!
Too bad the weather was so good because, in foggy or stormy weather, the effect would have been striking!!!!

A very large and weathered graveyard Nouchet. I agree, foggy weather would have been great for these pictures, but probably not so good for climbing the 199 steps ;-))

Two very nice captures, Rosa. The perspective on this massive church is magnificent, really (we can feel the sea breeze). The layout of these ancient tombs is amazing. In any case, it's a great place to spend one's post-mortem life :-)

A very well composed pair of shots Rosa. I like the shadows in the foreground of the main shot changing to the sunlit gravestones and the path along the clifftop leading the eye towards the corner of the Abbey Head. The inscriptions on the gravestones certainly make interesting reading. The picture of the church is equally well composed and has a great perspective.

Graveyards are nearly always an interesting place to visit and take photos, but I bet very few have views like this one.........not that the occupants would notice! The light in this main image is really lovely and I especially like the sky.

The image in the PiP is excellent......and my favourite of the two. The church looks absolutely splendid against the sky and the detail in the architecture is awesome.

Yes they are Keith. I could spend hours looking at them. I have seen quite a few overlooking the sea in Dorset and Cornwall, but this one was something else!
