Beautiful details on the iris petals, Rosa. Mine aren't out yet and it's cold and rainy at the moment.

I love the way this variety of iris has such beautiful movement in the wind....although, that does make it a little difficult to photograph! Hope yours flower soon.

Have a lot like this in my garden ... and a strange story about them.
Once, I took some and planted them near the garage on the North side near the street. And guess what?! They became .... WHITE ! Every year I am fascinated by this phenomenom.

Oh that is strange Christiane!! I have never heard of that with Irises. I know it happens with hydrangeas as all of mine started out as blue and are now pink ;-) My garden is fairly big. We used to keep chickens but when the fox got to them I couldn't bear for that to happen again, so now that area is part of the garden as well.

Have a too big garden also. Here a picture of a part of the East side of it. You can at least multiply by 4 the kind of work that you see here (:o((. I love gardening, Rosalyn, but too much is too much.

That is strange Christiane. A few years ago we had dahlias of so many different colours and then one year they all turned purple :) It is a good job I like purple!!

Unfortunately I cannot access the link to your garden on flickr as I am no longer a member and I don't use Yahoo now. From what I remember about your beautiful garden, it is larger than mine and I completely understand that there is a time when it can become too much.

Yes they are in my garden Christien. Last year they did not flower because of the unusually hot weather I think, so I was very pleased to see them this year.
