It is better squared removing the dark areas makes the image stand out more

I'm glad you like it this way better - I do as well. I learned photography on a Rolleiflex (oh so many years ago) and I think I still have 'square' in my brain when taking photos.

Thanks. I think so as well. Though I find that since the lines are all vertical that there's an illusion that is is taller than it is wide!

The square format and turning it on its side really work- a new view of things!

The square crop seems to be pulling one further into the picture Laura, good decision!. The lacy branches on the right seem being lured into the more formable forms on the left. :) Stay Well!

I'm thinking about it Laura! It came up on my contact images and got my attention! My back is acting up these past few weeks so not sure how I'll feel but it sounds great! :)
