Balcombe Viaduct
Correctly known as the Ouse Valley Viaduct, this carries the London - Brighton main line over the Sussex Ouse. It was built between 1839 & 1842 and continues in daily use seeing around 20 trains pass over every hour.

Historic Dockyard

It was a very hazy day when I visited, so the photos from 100 metres up didn't turn out well. This view shows a silhouette of the tower over the adjacent railway station, with the Historic Dockyard behind.
Spinnaker Tower

A "millennium" project, though construction didn't actually start until 2001, with completion in 2005.
On a good day, you can easily make out the Isle of Wight. I didn't visit on a good day - it was a weekend with a large amount of pollution hovering over southern England, so the views weren't extensive.

The Spinnaker Tower is easily visible from Gosport on the other side of the harbour
Isle of Wight Ferry departing

Portsmouth Harbour is busy with lots of small vessels as well as frequent ferries across The Solent to the Isle of Wight
HMS Warrior

The frequent ferry service over to Gosport gives a good view of the Historic Dockyard, including HMS Warrior. Reading the website, I find that this was Britain’s first iron-hulled, armoured battleship and was launched in 1860.

Portsmouth Tram Shelter
I encountered this old tram shelter outside the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. On further investigation, I discovered that it was previously situated on Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, but was relocated away from its exposed position, where it suffered from bad weather blowing in off The Solent.
Jack And Jill from Wolstonbury Hill

The windmills are named Jack - behind, black, with no sail, and Jill - white. Restoration on Jill has been carried out by volunteers from the Jack and Jill Windmills Society , and now occasionally produces stoneground wholegrain flour.
Jack is in private ownership, while Jill is owned by Mid Sussex District Council.
The track passing the windmills is the South Downs Way.

Pyecombe Horses

Just visible is the Church of the Transfiguration in the tiny village of Pyecombe. Unfortunately, the noise from the A23 main road is more intrusive than this scene might suggest.

Rust on White 2

The sea air can take a toll on the metalwork in a coastal town. On a recent visit to Worthing, I found rust appearing where the paint was missing, so pushed the camera up nice and close....
