This is the only expressionist building in London. Park Road. www.rsh.anth.org.uk/ The staircase and other interiors of the house had been recently painted by Gary Chippendale , using a technique called lazur painting that was developed by Steiner. See where this picture was taken. [?]

Spooner's Flat

21 Sep 2009 156
The front room, which is actually in the back of the house and overlooks the garden where the mating foxes make all kinds of noise at night. I didn't take any photos of the 50 dark, steep, twisty, treacherous steps up to Spooner's flat. See where this picture was taken. [?]

Mysterious Laundry Machine

17 Sep 2009 163
Sorry I didn't take more pix of Spooner's flat for those of you who have asked about it. (It's quite nice and cosy!) Where we would have a dishwasher in the kitchen, Spooner has a clothes washer/extractor/drier machine. The buttons and dials are incomprehensible, but I managed to do a load of wash while I was there. I couldn't figure out the drying function, so I put my clothes on a rack to dry, thereby doing my part to reduce global warming. See where this picture was taken. [?]

Leaving for Home

21 Sep 2009 150
Waiting for the tube for the journey to Heathrow. My loyal viewers will be overjoyed to know that this concludes the London 2009 photo uploads (although there are some stray street signs and parish boundary markers that I may have to upload later). Thanks to all my mates who made it such a great visit. See where this picture was taken. [?]
