Picked (with permission) from a neighbours garden and taken indoors to photograph.

I found these feathers in the corner of my garden a few days ago, together with some spots of blood. I'm guessing that one of the neighbourhood cats caught a pigeon :-( I gathered up some of the clean feathers and decided to make a close up image of them. I hope you like the result. I think is looks best viewed large. Thanks for looking!

This is what the leaves on my small Acer tree looked like back at the beginning of May this year. They didn't survive long due to the extreme heat this summer. Hopefully they'll be back in the spring!

One of the ferries that run between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, just leaving Portsmouth harbour, with the town of Gosport in the background. Victoria of Wight entered into service in 2018 and a is hybrid energy ferry. combining battery power with conventional engines. The huge rocks in the foreground are part of the recently installed sea defences. I cropped this one to 16:9 format, so it would be best viewed large. Thanks for looking.

My final street candid photo from last Wednesdays walk around Chichester. I have to admit I thought this guy was begging at first, but he wasn't. He seemed to be sheltering from the rain and he moved on quite quickly. It just goes to show you shouldn't make assumptions..!! I wish you all a good weekend.

I spotted this man and his lovely moustache in Chichester, West Sussex yesterday. I liked his hat as well.

Taken in Chichester, West Sussex for World Photography Day 2026. This was the first significant rainfall we've had in around 2 months, but I wasn't going to let getting wet stop me from taking a photo today, so I thought I'd indulge myself in a little street photography.

Also known as Paper Spurge and occasionally gopher spurge, gopher plant or mole plant. Handling this herbaceous plant may cause skin irritation as the plant produces milky latex. It was used in folk medicine as a remedy for cancer, corns, and warts. It's not clear as to whether this is a cultivated plant or a wild plant (weed), but it is possible to buy the plants and seeds. I found this one growing in a gap between the pavement and the wall of a local church, and took a piece home to photograph. The background is a white artists canvas, lit by an LCD panel.

I found this ages ago in the street and forgot about it until I was clearing out a drawer in my desk earlier today. This vintage phone had a reputation for being bomb proof..........I can understand why, it took me nearly an hour to take it to bits. The tough plastic case was particularly problematic. This model was released in 2003 and cost around £29.00. Best viewed large, I think.

A quick shot taken on my phone when I was walking round a local garden centre. I think it's a Dahlia variety, but I'm not sure. It didn't look like much on the phone, but once I got it up on my laptop, I found I quite liked it. Hope you do too!

A wild flower. Taken in my back garden last May...........before the hot weather started! Edit 18th Aug...........I had the identify of this plant wrong. It is, in fact, Green alkanet..........and not Creeping navelwort, a very similar plant. My thanks to Amelia for putting me right!

Also known as a Snapdragon. Seeing as how all the flowers in our back garden are dead, my wife kindly let me take this from one of her pots in the front garden to photograph indoors. Natural light from the window and a textured card as a background.
