I would categorise it a a bit of a junk shop, rather than a museum. This is precisely why we're having a clear out. We've lived in this house for more than 40 years so we've accumulated a lot of "stuff". :-)))

You should look for it aNNa.........and instead you may find something much more interesting that you also forgot about :-)))

You seem to have endless quantity of photogenic stuff at home or it would be better to say, stuff that you make photogenic with your beautiful pictures!

A great lump of fools gold here. I think however I would have used another black background as I think it would have suited better.

Maybe you just opened the wrong drawer. The nuggets might be in the other one ;-)) A shiny gold mineral with many fine details. You can see the details very clearly.

I hope you have kept it, it's too beautiful to throw away:-) The way the light illuminates the pyrite makes every corner look different, very well photographed!

Now I've photographed it, it will go to one of our local charity shops Gudrun. We're running out of room at home :-))

Beste Keith, mijn vader werkte vroeger in een steenkolenmijn en bracht regelmatig Pyrit mee naar huis, dat hij ondergronds had gevonden. Als kind vonden wij dat prachtig om er mee te spelen, omdat het op goud leek.

Some real gold would have been nice to have as well :-)))

Ich habe selbst einige Mineralien. Auch wenn sie nicht wertvoll sind, finde ich sie sehr ansehnlich und interessant. Sie symbolisieren ein Stück Erdgeschichte.
