35028 Clan Line.....UK Rail Tours
35028 Clan Line is a preserved British steam locomotive, a member of the 'Merchant Navy' Class, built in 1948. After a long career on the national network, it was restored by the Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society and now operates on mainline excursions, often hauling luxury Pullman trains. Today it was travelling from London to Havant and back again.
I had no idea this was running today. I just noticed a large number of people on the railway bridge when we were on our way back from shopping, and when I investigated I saw the train just pulling into Havant Station. I just had time to grab one shot before it went past the bridge.
It just goes to show you should always have a camera with you..!!

Keith Burton club has replied to Günter Klaus clubEnjoy the rest of your day and have a lovely evening. Best wishes, Keith.
Keith Burton club has replied to Jean-Paul clubIn Portugal it was a common mode of transport.
Then came the roads, highways, motorways...the railway lines were reduced to a minimum.
Keith Burton club has replied to J.Garcia clubI worked on the railway for 17 years and used the trains a lot, but off-duty I mostly used my car. Now I have given up driving and my current modes of transport are the train and buses, which I am getting used to.
Thanks for dropping in and commenting..!!
Cheers. Herb

Thanks for the heads up, but I don't take part in the CWP group.

Yes the TZ100 did its job. I just tend to leave it set to Intelligent Auto and let it do its stuff. Perfect for grab shots like this..!!
This is a happily restored gem.
Warm greetings, Anton.
