A daring photo here with that deadly looking knife too. This high contrast mono does seem to work although I am slightly surprised that it does. I do like to see the texture in the wood here. Well done.

The point of the knife was actually pushed far enough into the wooden board so that it would stand upright.

Beautiful b&w. Looks like a face-off between knife and pineapple; the trick is to keep out of the way once the battle is joined. The other mystery, for me, is how to assess whether the pineapple is ripe.

According to the label on the pineapple, they are picked when ripe and once they are picked they stop ripening. So in theory, it should be OK to eat and any time after getting into it. I haven't tried yet!

A wonderful image Keith I like the underexposed result I'm undecided about the rivets in the handle the bright cutting edge goes well with the tittle. Pineapples used to be a sign of wealth !!!
If you don't want to eat all of it you can freeze it

Thanks very much for your visit and nice comments Peter. This was a bit of an experiment for me, but I'm pleased with it. Wondered whether or not to tone down the bright rivets, but on balance, I decided to leave them.

We haven't operated on it yet..........but thanks for your tip about freezing it.
