Thanks Güni............I always find it difficult to to work out decent compositions in the forest as there are so many distractions, which is why I decided to just capture part of the tree. I'm pleased you like the resulting photo.

Glad you like the shape Peter.......that's what caught my eye too. I have no idea why it grew like this..........it's very strange, but also very photogenic. The moss gave a bit of foreground interest.

You're right of course this could easily be an "Ent".

I too thought first of an "Ent" - I can even imagine 2 eyes in the trunk....
