Original Orb
My first song for this group: 1976 Average White Band off of their "Soul Searching" album. I love these guys.
Queen of My Soul
I've loved you for as long as I remember
And I know I'll love you all of my life
I'll try to stay in tune
Oh, yes, I'll try
'Cause you got the power to satisfy me
But there's always something new about you out of reach, oh
Music, sweet music
You're the queen of my soul, oh
Music, sweet music
You're the queen of my soul
Ah, you're a lady, you're my world
Come on and speak to me
Ah, you gotta help me now
To find the right key
Major to minor
Keep it in step
Let me hear, you got to teach me
Your sweet harmony, oh
Music, sweet music
You're the queen of my soul, oh
Music, sweet music
You're the queen of my soul
All over the world there are so many you have gifted
And they give me inspiration every day
You're my way of life, yeah, oh
I know that we will always stay together
And I will love you strong
'Cause you've got me flyin'
On the wings of a song, hey
Look on the floor now, take me higher
Give it to me one more time and let me pass it on, oh
Music, sweet music
You're the queen of my soul
Music, sweet music
You're the queen of my soul

Sight and Sound
Of all of the incarnations of Fleetwood Mac one of my favorites was with Danny Kirwan from 1968 through 1972.
The band had so many personnel changes that on the back of this album it says: "Fleetwood Mac - Personnel changes to date: Mick Fleetwood, Jeremy Spencer, John McVie and Peter Green started group in 1967. Danny Kirwan joined later. Then Peter Green left in 1969. And then Christine McVie joined. Then Jeremy left six months later. Bob Welch joined in 1971." (lol) Just try and keep track.
From their 1971 album "Future Games" and written and sung by Danny Kirwan

Molly got into the feather boas the other day and pranced around the room just owning the place. She was so funny and so proud. I swear it gave her extra powers. :D

Tacoma Narrows Bridge: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacoma_Narrows_Bridges
(Looks good big on black.)
This is a photo I posted in my photostream a while back (in color). I tried it in sepia via iPhoto (going from color to sepia) and thought it looked pretty good, but then read that you should convert color to black and white before converting to sepia so I went and tried that in PicMonkey. This is the result and is very different than what I got in iPhoto. I have no idea if it's "correct" or not so please let me know what you think. I really have no experience with sepia before this challenge.
Original in note.

Merry Christmas 1940's Style
I found this photo last night and thought I'd share it with you. It is my mom and one of her 5 brothers at Christmas time in Ohio, USA. My grandpa was a photographer so I have some nice pics he took from way back then. I've always like the style of the 1940s.

Okay class, time for another old photo. This is my mom's class in Cleveland, Ohio circa 1937. See if you can find which one is my mom.
Here's a hint: I have already posted 2 old photos of her in my "Cool Old Photos" album (you can leave a "note" on the photo if you like.)

I realize I haven't added an old photo to my album for quite a while so here you are. This started out as a b/w photo. I did a little editing and gave it a sepia finish which seemed to suit it.
I just love this photo taken of my mom (circa 1940) by my grandpa on the farm in Michigan where they would spend the summers.
Since I didn't actually take the picture I thought it might be suitable for the NOT TSC group for this challenge.

3 OOAK (one of a kind) Yo-Yos
After last week's challenge (and some interest) I thought I'd showcase these yo-yos that my husband made. He's an "old school" chopper builder. They are made out of billet aluminum and one is copper plated with fake bullets. The 44 Magnum yo-yo has 12 real bullet casings cut down. The yo-yo idea came from other parts he was making at the time. Busy hands and a creative mind led to these creations. Credit also goes to Jesse James (West Coast Choppers) and Billy Lane (Choppers Inc.) for their inspiration. Enjoy!

A tribute to Clint Eastwood and his Dirty Harry movies. This is a yo-yo that my husband made several years ago.
I did all my post processing in PicMonkey. Go ahead, make my day and leave a comment. :D

A magical world awaits us through the looking glass.
(I used two things from my home for this challenge, a print of a painting and the mirror off of my dresser.) Thank you for this challenging challenge Paul. :)
