A panorama of Northam Burrows

A panorama of Northam Burrows
This is part of Northam Burrows and somehow the Royal North Devon Golf Club has some of its 18 hole green there!!! There are plenty of rough areas to get stuck in!!!!

Annemarie, Valfal, buonacoppi, Janet Brien and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Excellent, Jenny! Where exactly are you in North Devon (I don't mean while taking this shot!)

I live in Bideford which is about 3 miles from where I took this photo.

Ah, the age-old argument Barnstaple or Bideford Bay! Have been to both and like both and won't be drawn on a preferance!

I remember having to keep my relationship with my first husband a big secret way back in the 1960's, because he came from Barnstaple and I lived in Bideford!!!!! LOL

WOW WOW WOW...Jenny, this is just so beautiful. I had to stare. The light and shadow are remarkable. Totally breathtaking and looks so great as a panorama! NICE NICE NICE job on this one, Jenny! :)

I loved your comments on my wisteria picture too...purple rain...that's perfect!! :) And also, yes it's true we can drive for ever and ever if we wanted to, but you know...Great Britain is STUFFED with so much beauty, it's just compacted into a much smaller space! And all that history and architecture and lovely landscapes and such...some day I hope to be sitting in your kitchen with you and we can talk about how lovely your home and garden is! And your town and EVERYTHING! :) *hugs*

Oh that would be great to meet you, but I don't think you'd think my garden lovely, it is in places, but it's more left to wildlife nowadays as I can't do the gardening anymore. Yes GB is full of history etc, but it's such a small island that gorgeous old buildings etc used to be pulled down so new estates of houses could be built to house people when the bombs in WW2 had destroyed so much. Luckily before the developers went mad on building on every available plot, the Society for preservation etc stopped them, so now it's illegal to pull anything down unless with prior permission by the Society etc.

Glad you liked my idea of purple rain, as my laburnham is yellow rain. Yes the panorama is lovely, but it is really lovely just being there, it does look just like this - for once the camera doesn't exaggerate.
