Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR

Here is the cut-up chicken with some diced mushrooms and different colored bell peppers. I wanted these vegetables to have a little more cooking time before I added the Chinese vegetables. Taken with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR today, on May 9th, 2022.

This is the final dish, cooked and then served over a bed of rice. Even though I used a lot less chicken than normal, with a bouillon cube added in, it was enough to give it a good chicken flavor. Someday there might come a time when learning how to cut back and stretching your food stores to last longer might be a reality. Taken with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR today, on May 9th, 2022.

The band I was in at the time was touring the eastern half of the United States. This night's stop happened to be in Nashville, Tennessee. When we finished playing and got back to the hotel we were staying at, I went out looking for things to take pictures of. I saw this eerie scene in front of the hotel's restaurant and bar. While touring with a band I used to be in, most of the time we all stayed in our motorhome. And that meant that we provided our own meals to save money. I got to be the chef for the band. Here is some tasty bacon I cooked back on June 11th, 2015, when we were playing in Birmingham, Alabama.

Back in 2015, I was touring with a band and we were booked to play a big Fourth of July celebration in Nashville, Tennessee. We were opening for Foghat, but something must have fell through, because Foghat ended up playing in Michigan that night. My band ended up playing at a club there instead. This is the hotel we stayed in after the gig. The drummer and me shared a room because him and I were in a band he had started before we both ended up joining this band. The new band wasn't working for us, so this was our last show with them and we reformed his band and we're together still. I always like to roam around at night and get pictures where I'm staying. This shot was taken on July 3rd, 2015, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

My church was having a dinner today after the service, so yesterday I made a strawberry cake. In a patriotic moment, I made the three layers red, white and blue. I started with a white cake recipe and then added the colors. This is what it looked like before I iced the outside with my homemade cream cheese icing.

I didn't get a chance to see what my cake looked like on the inside until after they had cut into it. This was all that was left after the meal - fortunately there was enough to photograph to show the layers.

Today was the day that the batch of dandelion wine I started back on April 12th, 2022 was ready to bottle. This was a shot just after I had transferred it to the bottles, but before I corked them. It hadn't had time to settle yet, but as you can see, there was nothing to settle - it's totally clear. I strained it many times to make sure there were no impurities in it - and it paid off. I got 24 full bottles. Now, it just has to age for 4 or 5 years before it can be opened and tasted. I think this is my best batch yet! Taken on May 16th, 2022, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

I bought some tomato plants today and planted them in my yard. I just love fresh tomatoes. One plant was a "Better Boy" variety, a hybrid; while the other three were a "Cherokee Purple" - an heirloom variety. Taken on May 25th, 2022, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

On Monday, May 30th, 2022, I sneaked up close, about 10 feet away, and got this shot of a groundhog in my yard. It finally heard me and ran back to it's hideout.

I was going through some of my food pictures from last year and they made me hungry. So, at 2 a.m. this morning I made these Cheese Garlic Biscuits. They have shredded cheddar cheese inside and are brushed with butter that has garlic, parsley and Italian seasoning when they first come out of the oven. They're actually a copycat recipe that replicates the biscuits that Red Lobster restaurants serve with their dinners. They are very tasty hot and right out of the oven. And I can attest that the copycat recipe is tasty, too!

I made these frosted pineapple cookies back in 2014 and haven't made them since. They were real good and I've had them on my mind lately, so I need to make some.

I was mixing some batter when I thought I should take a picture before I mixed the last of the flour into it.

It's always a shock to find out a friend of yours has died. I came across her obituary just the other day. I didn't even know she had been ill. The last time I saw her, we went bowling, this picture was taken then.
