Das Lampertstal in der Eifel verläuft entlang des etwa 9,5 km langen Lampertsbaches . Dieser entspringt in Esch in Rheinland-Pfalz und heißt auf seinem ersten Teilstück noch Frömmelsbach. Der größte Teil des Lampertsbaches verläuft jedoch durch Blankenheim in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Der Lampertsbach mündet schließlich in die Ahr. Das Lampertstal gehört zum Naturschutzgebiet Lampertstal und Alendorfer Kalktriften mit Fuhrbach und Mackental . Dieses war auch Bestandteil des Kerngebietes des Naturschutzgroßprojektes Ahr 2000 . Ein Ziel war es dabei, die naturnahe Entwicklung der Weiden und Wiesen in den Tälern sowie die Vielfalt an Pflanzen- und Tierarten zu sichern. Das Lampertstal ist eines von mehreren offenen Wiesentälern im Rahmen dieses Projektes. Das Tal selbst zieht sich wie ein kilometerlanges grünes Band durch die Landschaft. Die Hänge auf beiden Seiten des Tales sind überwiegend waldbedeckt. Entlang des Tales verläuft nur ein Wanderweg, aber keine Straße, so dass man hier ausgiebig wandern kann, ohne eine Straße zu Gesicht zu bekommen. Zwischen den Blankenheimer Ortsteilen Ripsdorf und Dollendorf wird das Lampertstal von einer wenig frequentierten Straße gequert. Hier gibt es auch einen Wanderparkplatz. Ebenso eignen sich die Blankenheimer Ortsteile Ahrhütte und Alendorf an den Enden des Lampertstals oder auch das an einem Seitental gelegene Mirbach in Rheinland-Pfalz als Ausgangspunkt für eine Wanderung durch das Lampertstal.
