I guess an item of maritime interest Roger, seems like this Bouy also makes up the sign to the entry to Combwich Pill.

Roger (Grisly) club has replied to HappySnapper
Many thanks Maurice, the jetties on the right were constructed for previous power stations but have been upgraded for landing equipment destined for Hinkley C, the pill itself is solely for pleasure craft these days.

Many thanks, like an iceberg with a good part of it underwater I would guess but then add on a light or bell to increase the height a bit more

WOW!!! That is so COOL!!! It's so bright and pretty and HUGE! I wonder how long it took for one of these to break down before they had to make another to take its place?

Fascinating! Thanks for sharing, what fun to see this cool old buoy!

Happy holidays!

Roger (Grisly) club has replied to Janet Brien club
Many thanks Janet, I guess they were made from well treated hardwood and would have lasted a good number of years although would have needed repainting at regular intervals, but more important I wonder how many lives it helped to save in it's lifetime !
