A smashing street candid John.............I've never been on this bridge myself..........I've always tried (mostly successfully) to avoid going to London..!!

For me. Keith, one of the attractions of London is that its buildings are a relief from the stark architecture of Toronto, where I spent most of my life. I've read on a couple of tourist sites, though, that one of Toronto's attractions to the British is that its cleancut buildings are a relief from the ornate building in London.

Ha ha. London is looking more like Toronto every day. This picture has caught a clear spot between the stark architecture that's going up now. Move to the right a bit and you'll see the full horror.

Oh, I'm aware of the horror in London, Isisbridge, especially all that stunt architecture -- the Shard, the Cheesegrater, the Walkie-Talkie, the Gherkin (looks more like a suppository to me). Toronto has some truly horrible buildings, though. The city is so desperate to be hip that the council can be persuaded to permit anything.
