Thanks very much, Keith. It's a good thing there's so much of the mundane around. Seriously, I like to shoot things we don't normally pay attention to. Thackeray said that the photograph makes new things familiar and familiar things new, and I think he was on to something.

Uh ... California is fine at the moment, all things considered. If you are talking about the infamous freaky heatwave, that was way up north, in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia! 40+ degrees Celcius on the northern Pacific coast? Now that's Old Testament heat for you.
Thankfully, that too has abated, or so I hear. Weather in Santa Rosa has been lovely, though it will get a bit warmer between now and the weekend. Our new place has fans and is well insulated. We'll be fine.
