I managed to include my shoe at bottom right. I fear my career in acrobatics is drawing to a close.

A fascinating shot - all the variations on grids and the shadows of grids - though I suspect they are all the same and the shot makes them appear different. But then, what is the frustration of photography but the difference between what we see and what the camera sees? Or, in this case, the blessing?

And my only acrobatics these days are mental ones, and even those are slowing, I fear.

Thanks, Bob. Yes, the refusal of the camera to co-operate with us is highly frustrating. You do learn from it, though, I think. A large part of the problem here is that I was shooting with with a viewfinderless camera and in the bright sun couldn't get a good look at the colours. I find the difference in colour between the back of the bench and the seat disconcerting. Actually, I probably wouldn't have paid much attention if I'd been using the terrific mirrorless viewfinder on my other camera. So maybe the blessing will be that I start paying more attention to what I'm shooting.

Lots of interest here with a fascinating diamonds theme. You could devote yourself to making photographic depictions of the other three card suits. Everyone benefits from a project.

There's a notion. I took a picture of a spade yesterday, too. Maybe I'll be off to the butcher's today to get a beef heart.

I could work in the French names, too. Carreaux and trèfles are easy enough.

Thanks for the idea, TLC.

Clever shadow-play John..............nicely done!

I like the tiny plants growing in the cracks of the background wall - you have to view the very large version to see them properly though!

Thanks, Keith, especially for noticing the plants. They are an important feature to me, and I did a little work on the biggest one to make it stand out, so it's good to know they were noticed,
