Judging by the tilt I seem to have been, too, TLC.

I like the shapes in this image, but a real shame to lose a good coffee shop.

It ws a pleasant place, George, with a patio in summer, but the fences for the roadwork hid it from view. They had signs up, but who reads any more, eh?

Has that chap been trapped in there since the work started John?

I like the geometrical shapes made by the scaffolding and there are some interesting reflections dotted around as well. Such a shame the shop seems to be done for!

Thanks, George. I think the big problem there was people being kept out, or rather led to believe there was no shop there.

Sorry to hear you lost a favorite hang. What is it about the place that you liked so much (other than the geometrical shapes)?

It was a chain shop, Sarah, but had agreeable staff, reliable coffee, an interesting view of the Front-York-University intersection, and a patio in summer. It also occasionally served Fazenda Vista Alegre as a daily special. I think their FVA roast may have been exclusive to the chain, too -- it had a distinct cherry flavour that isn't mentioned in the reviews of other FVAs online. The chain (Second Cup) was the first chain in Canada or the States to purchase directly from plantations.

Will have to look up Fazenda Vista Alegre. My coffee tastes are mundane, but my husband likes to explore.
